Happy Baby

Poor Elizabeth. She's a great baby, but she has tummy bubbles pretty much after every feeding and is very uncomfortable for awhile afterwards unless there's some pressure on her belly. Trying to hold a baby in any position while taking care of three other kids is very difficult and so I figured the only way I could work it all out is to get something to hold Elizabeth in so I could have my hands free. I bought one at Target (the Baby Bjorn-type ) but ended up returning it after some research online. I realized I could make one of my own for much cheaper, and so I did. Here's the happy baby in the homemade baby wrap! These same types of wraps cost anywhere from $40-80 and mine cost $8! And I have enough material left for another one!

  1. Good job Cessie! I love the way baby wraps work. It sure does make life a lot easier when you have a fussy baby. Cute picture...She sure is a doll!

  2. Thanks! I'm so worried she's going to become "attached"....I'm not an "attachment parenting" type, but at this point I have to do what works for her happiness and my sanity!

  3. Cessie, I'm so proud of you. Your sewing abilites amaze me. You know I still have the heart pillow you made me when you were only 12 years old.

  4. Cessie, I wouldn't worry too much about attachment issues at this age. Hopefully you will be able to get her tummy issues resolved soon.
