Thankful Thursday

Today was a rougher-than-usual day. I've had a headache for 2 days now, and I think it's finally on it's way out, but needless to say, I've been less involved in my "motherly" duties than usual. For example, tonight was "whatever you want" for dinner night because I just wasn't up to cooking, and so my Nathan, Caleb, and Anna all had Trix cereal for dinner!

So what does this have to do with being thankful? Well, after feeding Elizabeth at 6:45 am, I just did not have it in me to get up. My head was still hurting from yesterday and Anna was already up and was asking to eat breakfast and I just couldn't do it! So I asked Aron if he could please get up with Anna, even though I knew he was up late last night, and he did. Some of you may be thinking, "Ok, big deal", but I'm not done yet. When I finally got up at 9:22 am, he'd already made sure the kids ate, were dressed, and he'd already started school with them! Bible was done and he was getting ready to read them the story of the day. He finished the story with them, I went and took a shower, and while I was upstairs, he began giving the boys a much needed haircut (and he even asked me before giving Nathan his requested mohawk....and in case you were wondering, I said "Yes.").

Wow, what a dad! What a husband! God, I am so incredibly thankful for You putting Aron in my life. He is such a blessing to me and to our family. May You make all his dreams come true!

  2. glad to hear your headache is on it's way out. got me a little worried. Now, to add to your thankfulness for having a spirit filled husband, i as his mother-in-law could not have asked for a better no make that greater husband for my daughter and a better father for my precious grandchildren. if i had to pick the perfect husband for my wonderful daughter he would be it. he truly does have jesus in his heart and lives to serve him. way to go aron.
